Cooling-An Indispensable Procedure of Heat Treatment

Apart from induction heating, cooling is an indispensable procedure of heat treatment technology. Cooling methods which are used to control cooling velocity are different due to the difference of cooling processes. Water cooling system is commonly used in heat treatment process. Generally speaking, the cooling velocity of induction annealing is the slowest, that of induction normalizing is fast, and that of induction hardening is the fastest. However, there are different requirements for different steel materials, for example, hollow hard steel can be hardened at the cooling velocity of normalizing.
