How to choose the frequency of induction heating?

Aug. 13, 2016

Induction heating equipment is a device that produces a specific frequency of induction current, induction heating and surface hardening treatment. There are three types of induction heating frequency according to the need of heat treatment and heating depth.

High frequency which is greater than 10KHZ, is generally used for heating medium and small parts. Intermediate frequency between 1 and 10 KHZ, is used in large diameter shaft and large and medium modulus gear heating. Power frequency which is 50HZ, is used for large size parts diathermy.

What is induction Heating?

Induction heating is the process of heating an electrically conducting object (usually a metal) by electromagnetic induction, through heat generated in the object by eddy currents. An induction heater consists of induction power supply (induction heater) and inductor (coil) that is a shaped to contour the part, and a work station where the part is held and presented to the coil.
